QWA Membership . . .

Our members are owners of property that have reasonable access to our water system. Members must be approved by the board of directors.

The annual meeting of the members is held the first Tuesday of March at 7 p.m. in the village of Quincy or the City of Clatskanie.

Special meetings of the members of the association may be called at any time by the secretary upon request of the board of directors, or upon the filing of a petition with the secretary, which is signed by at least ten percent of the members of the association. The purpose of a special meeting shall be stated in a notice.

Notice of meetings of the members is mailed to each member ten days in advance. Notices are also listed on the web site.

The Board of Directors . . .

QWA is managed by a five-person board of directors, all of which are members of the association. Directors are elected at the annual members' meeting in March and hold office for a term of two years.

The board of directors are subject to restrictions of law, ORS Chapter 62 (for a printable version of ORS 62 click here), the Articles of Association, and QWA Bylaws. At the current time our board meetings are held monthly (when monthly meetings are deemed necessary) on the second Thursday of each month, at 6:30 pm at the Quincy Grange. Board work sessions held as needed.
